Dead Fish

An African proverb says that dead fish swim with the current, but living fish swim against it.

During the summer of 2018 in Switzerland, we experienced up close what it means when fish die in masses and are simply washed away. It’s not just a sad spectacle, it smells terribly at high summer temperatures.

The Bible describes all Adam’s descendants as „spiritually dead“. In 1 Corinthians 15:1-34 it is explained that the disobedience of Adam and Eve brought death. But through the ONE sinless Son of Man sent by God came the true, eternal, pure and holy lives to us! What a privilege that God has for the ones who have completely entrusted themselves to Jesus. Their transient body will die one day, but their mind will be resurrected with a new body. I am very much looking forward to it!

“Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.”

1 Corinthians 15:22

How do you live with the new life you’re given?
