Someone throws you a life preserver. Would you grab on to it? There\u2019s no question about it. Of course you would!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a counselor, I have encountered many desperate situations. I tried everything to help the people involved. I was often shocked by their response: \u201cSorry, your life preserver isn\u2019t my favorite color!\u201d Simply put: \u201cI thought you were going to help me in a different way!\u201d When it\u2019s a matter of life and death, the color certainly shouldn\u2019t matter!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>Jesus\u2019 disciples heard this. Many of them said, \u2018This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?` <\/em><\/p>\n<cite><em>John 6:60<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus showed us on a one-to-one basis who God is, and verified what he spoke by means of great signs and wonders. Throughout the centuries, many people have grabbed on to this Life Preserver and have experienced peace, reconciliation, and help despite difficult circumstances. Jesus can perform a miracle in our lives, but he meets each person in a way that brings about his purpose in their life. It\u2019s worth listening to the transforming power of his words and encountering him personally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Will you take hold of God\u2019s Life Preserver?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bible Passage:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/NIV\/John6%3A60-71\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">John 6:60-71<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Suppose you were drowning.
