On July 14, 1865, a rope party of seven ascended the Matterhorn. Wymper the father and son Taugwalder were the only surviving members. Defeated and depressed, they arrived in Zermatt. It remains a tragedy with a lot of open questions. At the same time Italiens ascended too. Without any issues they arrived at the mountain. After the first ascent Zermatt was mourning while Cervinia was celebrating. 

This example shows very explicitly that joy and grief are very close together. On your life expedition, are you prepared to meet the Almighty? Those who ignore him, miss the goal. We all need the forgiveness of Jesus Christ. 

 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
