In the spring I stood by the sea, and the waves swirled around my feet. Storm clouds were gathering in the sky, and the wind slapped me in the face. I knew that I needed to seek shelter immediately. I discovered a small cabin close by and another one that was built on a rocky hill further away.

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

We all build our lives on something. Every decision we make has its consequences. When the storms of life come, whatever we have built our lives upon will determine whether we stand or fall.

Life’s storms are unavoidable, and challenges will come our way. We still get to choose which foundation we want to build our lives on. I am thankful that I have built my life on Jesus Christ.
