“I have good news for you!” our daughter exclaims with joy when she finds out that she will be allowed to start grammar school in the summer. Good news puts a smile on our faces and brings joy into our lives. But there is one piece of news that is even greater and surpasses everything: the best news of all!

From the very beginning, God created mankind for fellowship with him. But the fall of man destroyed this fellowship. But God has not given up on us. He has created a way to bring us back to him..

This way is Jesus Christ. Jesus, the Son of God, became man. He lived a perfect life without sin, but took our guilt upon himself and died for us on the cross – the death we deserved. But death did not have the last word. Jesus rose from the dead and thus conquered death! Through him, God bridged the gap between us and himself and opened the way to him.

For God loved people so much that he gave his only son. Everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

This best news changes everything: our sin is forgiven and fellowship with God is possible again.
