It seems like I will never come to a point in my life when I can say that everything is going well. Just when one challenge has been overcome, the next one is on its way. It goes on and on; somehow life is always stressful.
Will there ever be a time when everything is going well? Is there true peace and a place where our heart can truly come to rest? If not, life seems to be rather hopeless.
In the Bible, we read of a God who paints the picture of a hope-filled future, which goes beyond an earthly death.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”
Revelation 21:4-5
Yes, there will be a time when my heart comes to rest. Through God I have hope that, even when difficult times and challenges await me on the earth, everything will turn out well in the end.
