I remember how excited I used to be every year on Mother’s Day! Early in the morning I would rush out to the flower-covered meadow to pick the prettiest flowers for the breakfast table. Of course my Mother’s Day letter was never missing! Every year I wrote my mommy a few loving lines about how much I love her and how thankful I am for all of the love she gives me.

Last year, when my mother passed away, I rediscovered all of these little letters. She had kept them over all the years–my love letters, which she had received as an answer to her love!

We love because he first loved us.

God himself is love. He loves you and wants you to get to know his love. God’s love becomes visible in Jesus Christ. His death on the cross is what reconciles you with God. What proof of his love!
