I walk slowly through the long, white hospital corridor. Next to me, I see a woman writhing in pain. ‘God, help her!’ I whisper. A little boy stands there with a frightened look on his face and I pray: ‘Jesus, take away his fear!’ Suddenly I trip over my own feet and say: ‘Oh God, thank you that I didn’t fall!’
Is prayer a regular part of your life, or do you not pay much attention to it?
Don’t let anything distract you from prayer and don’t forget to thank God.
Colossians 4:2
For Paul, prayer was more than just a means of fulfilling his daily needs. It was the source of strength through which he received the energy for his ministry. Prayer is not just something you say when you are in need, but it can be a constant companion throughout the day.
Try it out. Discuss your thoughts with God today.
