Do you ever ask yourself if God knows how it feels to be poor, to be rejected by people, or to be sick and to experience pain? Have you ever been rejected by someone you love? Jesus experienced the pain of betrayal through a beloved person.
Jesus was not unfamiliar with emotional or physical pain, poverty, or hardship. He was born into a poor family. Starting at a young age, as a carpenter, he knew what it meant to engage in hard work with his hands and to stand on his feet the whole day. The religious leaders of the day also made his life difficult. They questioned his authority and put his teaching to the test.
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering.
Isaiah 53:4a
In the same way, he knows about every other pain which you suffer because he carried your sicknesses and pain on the cross.
Are you longing for someone who understands you? Jesus does! What is holding you back from getting to know Jesus today?
