While providing relief work, I was changed by God’s love. I gave my life to this work for God, left everything behind and was overjoyed. Every now and then, former colleagues would show up, bragging about great cars, houses and world trips. – I was more than satisfied with my situation. But all of a sudden thoughts and feelings came up that I didn’t know before. – I didn’t lack anything, yet it triggered dissatisfaction from time to time?

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

James 1:17

Much later I realized how abundantly God had given to me. He gave me a wonderful family with sweet grandchildren. I could list so much more. My negative thoughts had to give way because I could see God’s providing faithfulness. Conclusion: God has created everything wonderfully. I am safe in his hand. Gratefully I receive his love. The best and most important things are forgiveness, reconciliation and peace. This is beyond my imagination.
