He truly is risen! Even today this well known Easter greeting is common among Christians today. It is a wonderful tradition or is there more to it?
It is about the basis of faith. The spiritual clergy tried to silence Jesus by crucifying him. They believed that they could prevent the previously announced resurrection by sealing the grave and guarding it. But when an angel moved the tombstone, the soldiers were shaking and fell to the ground. Now, the religious elite used their influence to systematically turn the event into a lie and bribed the soldiers for false witnesses.
Jesus’ disciples who encountered Jesus were rather tortured and killed than losing the joy over the eternal truth. Even today that is the case!
And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.
Corinthians 15:14
How well do you personally know the Risen?
