I was sharply criticized and was the black sheep not only in our team but also with leadership. Apparently because of me, we got where we got… at least that was the tune that was sung. I worried about all the things people said about me. Conflicts are often complex and especially challenging when you talk about each other but not with each other. I was sad and wanted forgiveness and peace. This ignited new freedom and joy!
Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.
Proverbs 29:25
It takes courageous steps to counter fear and fear of man with trust in God. In the Lord’s Prayer it is written “Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.” Turning to God who gives forgiveness and reconciliation provides me with courage and strength. This is why I can ask fellow men for forgiveness. It calms and the fear of man must go. This is not a once in a lifetime experience, but a realm for practice in which we need God’s help.
How do you deal with fear of man?
