My girlfriend worked for a family in England. I often wrote her letters since I had plenty of time to do so during basic training for the military. At that time, letters were the only affordable means of communication. Although I wrote so often, I didn’t receive any reply. I was absolutely devastated. What could possibly have happened? 

When we were finally able to speak face-to-face after six months, everything got cleared up. Her boss had withheld the letters and had occasionally handed her a stack of them. The withheld letters and the infrequent replies didn’t change our love for each other, even though it was hard. So don’t despair if you have to wait for an answer!

Maybe you’ve prayed to God, and you’ve not received any reply yet. Don’t panic! He always answers at just the right time and never too late. He has shown us his love through his son Jesus Christ. That’s why he wants us to trust him. He knows how our love for him will become much stronger.

I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

Jeremiah 31:3

God has not forgotten you; he loves you! Where is it difficult for you to trust God?
