The Bible is full of God’s love letters to you. He is working in your life and wants to speak to you. Use a translation that is easy to understand (eg. “New Living Translation” or the “Amplified” version). You can even install the Bible app on your smartphone or at www.bible.com. God’s word is worth discovering, and it’s completely normal to ask questions! The Gospel of Mark is a great place to start. In this calendar, you will find weekly inputs. These inputs are paired with a verse that relates to the topic, which you can find at the bottom of each input.
Here are a few suggestions to help you get started:
- Find a quiet place. Begin with prayer and open your heart to God’s Word.
- Read without an agenda. Linger where something touches you. Write down what stands out to you in your notebook.
- Ask yourself:
What does the text mean?
What can I be thankful for?
Is there somewhere in my life where I am struggling?
Where can I use help? What is the next step for me in this season?
