These words of a classmate pierced Werner’s heart. He suspected it and found out that he was truly ‘just accepted’. Even though his adoptive parents were awesome, the question about his origin stuck. He learned to be a pastry baker, married and built a successful existence. Nevertheless many questions remained unanswered. Hence, Werner was looking for the purpose of life in all sorts of philosophies and religions.
Years passed until he found peace. In John’s gospel chapter 14 verse 6 he read: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the father except through me.” These words hit him deeply. He asked Jesus to forgive him. Deep peace entered his heart and he felt unconditionally accepted by God. This experience changed his life. Today he invites: Be reconciled with God.
