Gott gab dir dein Gesicht – lächeln musst du selbst! (Irisches Sprichwort) Gott hat uns unterschiedlich begabt. Was wir daraus machen, liegt an uns. Wer lächelt, muss noch nicht glücklich sein. Wissenschafter haben festgestellt, dass sich in den «glücklichsten» Ländern der Welt tendenziell am meisten Menschen selbst töten.
Der kleine Clown «Spidi» (Peter Wetzel) beendete sein Leben, was viele schockierte. Der Zirkuspfarrer meinte: «Er hat viele Menschen erfreut, doch hatte er zwei Gesichter. Das tieftraurige Gesicht hat er vor uns verborgen.»
An welcher Quelle war er angezapft?
In Johannes 4 berichtet die Bibel von einer lebenshungrigen Frau. Jesus bietet ihr «Lebenswasser» an. Er bringt Licht in ihre dunkle Vergangenheit und deckt ihre Sünde auf. Seine heilende Verge bung wird zu einer Quelle, die diese Frau komplett verändert. Jesus macht dieses Angebot vom Lebenswasser allen Menschen. Wir müssen es aber empfangen und trinken!
«Ich gebe ihm Wasser, das in ihm zu einer Quelle wird, die bis ins ewige L eben weiter sprudelt.»

“I was born for you.” – This is the best compliment you can give to a loved one, according to an internet survey. Amazing! Neither the look, nor the clothes, not even the achievements and abilities count the most, but the fact that you are meant for someone. This is what you want to hear and believe!
God has destined humans for Himself. No matter who we are, how we struggle and what we achieve. Paul wrote to the Galatians that eternal life comes only from trusting in God and believing in Jesus. God showed his love for us by sending Jesus Christ into the world to open the way to the Father. He literally tore the veil that separated us from him.
Therefore, Jesus gives us the most beautiful compliment. For he says: “Trust me, because I was born for you!“

«Ich bin für dich geboren worden.» – Dies ist laut einer Umfrage im Internet das schönste Kompliment, das man einer geliebten Person machen kann. Erstaunlich! Weder das Aussehen, noch die Kleider, nicht mal die Errungenschaften und Fähigkeiten zählen am meisten, sondern die Tatsache, dass man für jemanden bestimmt ist. Dies will man hören und wahrhaben!
Gott hat uns Menschen für sich bestimmt. Egal wer wir sind, wie wir uns abmühen und was wir erreichen. Paulus schrieb den Galatern, dass nur im Vertrauen zu Gott und dem Glauben an Jesus ewiges Leben entsteht. Gottes Liebe zeigte sich darin, dass Jesus Christus in die Welt kam, um den Weg zum Vater zu öffnen. Deshalb ist Jesus das schönste Kompliment und Geschenk für uns. Er sagt: «Vertraue mir, denn ich bin für dich geboren worden!»

Bridal couples make plans for a happy future. Parents hope their children will find their dream career and not settle. We all know the euphoric feelings of happiness that carry us like strong wings – but for how long? If our dreams, projects and visions fail due to our shortcomings, we can feel frustrated or feel like a failure. When external circumstances prevent us from reaching our goal, resentment can arise. Perhaps we are simply afraid of failure! However, failure is a completely normal part of life, and there is nothing to be afraid of. God has our good in mind, and will help you dust off your knees and get right back out there when you are following His will.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God gave this promise to his people during a time of great distress in Jeremiah 29:11.
A nation that does not follow God’s instructions and plans can become wild and unrestrained. I truly believe that sometimes God closes doors to protect us or to lead us back to the plans he had for us. People who fully and completely embrace God in their dreams, desires, hopes, and plans, have understood the crucial things in life! That God is good, and he has a magnificent plan for our lives. Jesus told us to seek first the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and then God will give you everything you need.
Following God’s plan for your life doesn’t mean that you won’t face challenges, it means that he will give you the strength to overcome whatever comes your way. For this week, I challenge you to seek first God’s kingdom and ask him what HIS amazing dreams for your life are. Ask God if there is any place in your life where you are not following his will and then, have the courage to change it if he highlights something! For his plans for you are only good.

Brautpaare schmieden Pläne für eine glückliche Zukunft. Eltern hoffen, ihr Kind werde einen Traumberuf erlernen. Wir alle kennen euphorische Glücksgefühle, die uns wie starke Flügel tragen – aber wie lange? Wenn unsere Träume, Projekte und Visionen zu hoch gesteckt sind, erreichen wir unser Ziel nicht und reagieren frustriert oder fühlen uns als Versager. Wenn äussere Umstände uns hindern ans Ziel zu kommen, kann Groll aufkommen. Vielleicht fürchten wir uns schlicht vor dem Versagen!
«Gott hat gesunde, zielorientierte Gedanken für unser Leben. Wenn wir ihn von ganzem Herzen suchen, wird er sich von uns finden lassen und uns Zukunft und Hoffnung geben!» Diese Verheissung aus Jeremia 29, 11 gab Gott seinem Volk in grösster Bedrängnis!
