I moved last month. I was permitted to move things to my new flat a month prior to the move-in date while I was still living in my previous one. In the meantime, my anticipation for my new flat grew. I planned, thought things through and talked to friends about how I could design and furnish the new apartment. I spent evening after evening in the new flat, moving in the first pieces of furniture and looking forward to my future home.
For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.

Our life here on earth is like a stopover. We live in this world, but it is not our home. We still live here, but we have the opportunity to focus on eternity. Our heart was created for eternal fellowship with God. We can begin to discover this fellowship now.
Es trafen sich Religionsvertreter aus aller Welt und wollten herausfinden, wie man zu Gott kommen kann. Sie kamen zum Schluss, dass alle versuchen, zu Gott hinaufzusteigen. Wie auf einen Berg zu klettern, jeder macht das einfach so, wie er es für richtig findet.
Ein einfacher Mann fragte in die Runde, was wäre, wenn Gott selber eine Möglichkeit anbieten würde, ihn kennenzulernen? Das schien von allen die beste Antwort zu sein. Nun fragte der Mann, ob er ihnen kurz eine Person vorstellen dürfe. Alle waren einverstanden.
So begann er, allen Jesus Christus vorzustellen, der von Gott gekommen ist und sein Leben gab, damit jeder, der an ihn glaubt, nicht verlorengeht, sondern ewiges Leben bekommt.
Denn Gott hat der Welt seine Liebe dadurch gezeigt, dass er seinen einzigen Sohn für sie hergab, damit jeder, der an ihn glaubt, das ewige Leben hat und nicht verloren geht.

Ja, Jesus ist der Weg , die Wahrheit und das ultimative Leben, und nur so kommt man zum Vater in den Himmel. Wie siehst du das und was bedeutet dir Jesus?
Religious representatives from all over the world met and wanted to find out how reach God. They came to the conclusion that everyone tries to climb up to God. Like climbing a mountain, everyone just does it as they see fit.
A simple man asked the group what would happen if God himself offered a way to get to know him? That seemed to be the best answer of all. Now, the man asked if he could briefly introduce a person to them. Everyone agreed.
So he began to introduce everyone to Jesus Christ, who came from God and gave his life so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.

Von Zeit zu Zeit muss ein Auto auf Mängel und Schäden geprüft werden, damit es strassentauglich bleibt. Es ist gesund, auch unser Herz regelmässig zu prüfen. Wer könnte das besser, als Gott unser Schöpfer, der unser Herz durch und durch kennt?
Durchforsche mich, o Gott, und sieh mir ins Herz, prüfe meine Gedanken und Gefühle! Siehe, ob ich in Gefahr bin, dir untreu zu werden, und wenn ja: Hol mich zurück auf den Weg, den du uns für immer gewiesen hast!
Psalm 139,23+24
David, der diese Zeilen geschrieben hat, bringt sein Herz zu Gott in den Prüfstand und bittet ihn, es zu durchforschen und ihn auf Mängel hinzuweisen. Es war ihm wichtig, alle seine Lebensbereiche regelmässig vor Gott offen zu legen und diese mit ihm zu ordnen und zu reflektieren.
Auch wenn dies nicht angenehm ist und Überwindung kostet, dient es deiner psychischen Gesundheit. Gott ist ein Prüfungsexperte, der liebevoll und wohlgesinnt dein Bestes sucht.

Every 2-3 years, a car must be checked for defects and damage so that it remains safe for use. It is a good idea to check our heart regularly, too. Who is better suited for this examination than our Creator, who knows our heart through and through?
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24
David goes to God to have his heart examined and asks him to search it and point out any shortcomings. It was important to him to regularly expose all areas of his life to God and to bring them to order and reflect on them with Him.
Even if this is not pleasant and takes effort, it serves your inner health. God is an expert examiner who lovingly and sympathetically seeks your best interests.
