We live in a fast-paced world. Everything is spinning and moving. We are bombarded with hundreds of pieces of information every day. We are constantly busy and if we ever have free time there are plenty of things we can fill that time with

Psalm 23:6
In this psalm, David writes about staying.. God is the house in which he wants to stay. In a world full of instability and change this is his place of refuge. With God there is no stress and no instability.
Where do you go in the midst of the turmoil of your everyday life? God invites you to come to his house. This does not mean an earthly building, but entering into a relationship with God. There you will find peace, tranquility and love. Instead of being driven by your circumstances, you can learn to live out of his peace.

Wir leben in einer schnellen Welt. Alles dreht und bewegt sich. Hunderte Informationen, von denen wir täglich berieselt werden. Wir sind dauerhaft beschäftigt, und haben wir mal eine Leerzeit, gibt es genügend attraktive Möglichkeiten, diese auch noch auszufüllen.
Ich werde bleiben im Haus des Herrn mein Leben lang.
Psalm 23,6
David schreibt in diesem Psalm vom Bleiben. Gott ist das Haus, in dem er bleiben will. In einer Welt voller Unbeständigkeit und Veränderung ist dies sein Zufluchtsort. Bei Gott herrscht kein Stress, keine Hektik und keine Unbeständigkeit.
Wohin gehst du inmitten der Turbulenzen deines Alltags? Gott lädt dich ein, in sein Haus zu kommen. Damit ist nicht ein irdisches Gebäude gemeint, sondern das Eintreten in die Beziehung mit Gott. Dort findest du Frieden, Ruhe und Liebe. Statt von deinen Umständen getrieben zu werden, kannst du dort lernen, aus seiner Ruhe heraus zu leben.

I’m sitting in a classroom, there are partitions to my left and right so that I can’t copy from my neighbour during the exam. But I try anyway and immediately write down the solution I see. I know full well that this is forbidden. It is a sin, because I have stolen the solution from my neighbour.
If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
James 4:17
The righteous God tells us with this verse in the Bible what his standard is. If everyone adhered to it, there would be no injustice in this world! When we read this statement, however, we have to admit that we are guilty and sinful.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
John 1:9
God can and will forgive sin. This means that he cancels out the guilt for us and frees us from sin.
Of course, I had a bad conscience during and after the exam. I couldn’t help it and told the teacher. Admitting the wrong brought me peace, despite the invalid test.
What can you say to God today? Trust that he will forgive you in Jesus and restore your relationship with him.

Ich sitze in der Schule, links und rechts stehen Trennwände, damit ich bei der Prüfung nicht beim Nachbar abschreiben kann. Doch ich probiere es trotzdem und schreibe die erblickte Lösung sofort auf. Ich weiss genau, dass das Abschreiben verboten ist. Es ist Sünde, denn ich habe die Lösung vom Nachbarn gestohlen.
Wer das Gute kennt und es nicht tut, der macht sich schuldig.
Jakobus 4,17
Der gerechte Gott lässt uns hier in der Bibel wissen, welcher Massstab bei ihm gilt. Würde jeder sich daran halten, gäbe es kein Unrecht auf der Welt! Lesen wir diese Aussage, müssen wir aber eingestehen, dass wir schuldig und sündig sind.
Wenn wir aber unsere Sünden bekennen, so ist er treu und gerecht, dass er uns die Sünden vergibt und uns reinigt von aller Ungerechtigkeit.
1. Johannes 1,9
Gott kann und will Sünde vergeben. Das heisst, er gleicht die Schuld für uns aus und befreit von der Sünde.
Natürlich hatte ich während und nach der Prüfung ein schlechtes Gewissen. Ich konnte nicht anders und sagte es der Lehrerin. Das Zugeben des Unrechts brachte mir Frieden, trotz der ungültigen Probe.
Was darfst du heute Gott erzählen? Vertraue darauf, dass er dir in Jesus vergibt und deine Beziehung zu ihm wieder klärt.

We all remember how we disinfected our hands, door handles, tables … just so we would not catch the virus. Well, we have another infection in our lives that is even more deadly than this virus.
While we are disinfecting and cleaning everything, we should make sure that we also cleanse our hearts of hatred, racism and intolerance. These are all deadly viruses that have brought death and suffering to countless people.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me..
Psalm 51:10 (NIV)
We can cleanse ourselves outwardly. Only God can cleanse our heart, our spirit from injustice, dirt and pride. God can forgive guilt, or sin, as the Bible calls it.
