It’s evident that, every now and then, we are disappointed by one another. The word means: End of Deception! We project something onto the other person which he/she cannot fulfill or does not want to fulfill. Those who are in love often have high expectations for the other but fortunately in a strong relationship that can be put into perspective.
Depending on our vision of God, we can be disappointed. God is not a wishing well where we throw in money and get out what we want. God is looking for humble people who want to cultivate a real friendship. As the creator he knows our real needs. Those who accept him as a friend, he will certainly lead to the destination.
The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Es ist kein Geheimnis, dass wir ab und zu voneinander enttäuscht werden. Das Wort bedeutet: Ende der Täuschung! Wir haben schnell in jemanden etwas hinein projiziert, das er schlicht nicht erfüllen kann und will! Verliebte haben immer wieder überhöhte Wünsche aneinander, was glücklicherweise in starken Beziehungen gesunden kann.
Der Herr schaut vom Himmel auf die Menschenkinder; dass er sehe, ob jemand klug sei und nach Gott frage.
Psalm 14,2
Je nach Vorstellung, die wir von Gott haben, werden wir enttäuscht. Gott ist kein Wunschautomat, bei dem wir Geld einwerfen und das Gewünschte herausziehen können. Gott sucht demütige Menschen, die echte Freundschaft mit ihm pflegen. Als Schöpfer kennt er unsere echten Bedürfnisse. Wer ihn als Freund annimmt, den führt er sicher ans Ziel.

What did Jesus live and teach?
If one hits you on one cheek, offer up the other! This is what he preached and lived! When Jesus was arrested, Peter, full of anger, cut off a soldier’s ear. The Son of God lived the love of the enemy even in the most difficult moments of his life. He perfectly reattached the cut of ear to the soldier’s head. That was his way of life which was questioned by the religious elites.
Jesus’ message is for everyone. He took the punishment we deserved. The righteous paid for our mistakes and created the only option for reconciliation with God!

Es ist kein Geheimnis, dass den Indianern viel Unrecht geschehen ist. Wo Menschen zusammenleben, entstehen Ungerechtigkeiten und oft auch Gewalt. Kriege wurden sogar im Namen der Religion legitimiert… Was hat Jesus denn gelebt und gelehrt?
Schlägt dir jemand auf die Backe, so halte ihm auch die andere Wange hin! Das predigte und lebte er! – Als man Jesus festnahm, schnitt Petrus voller Wut einem Soldaten das Ohr weg. Der Gottessohn lebte seine Feindesliebe auch in den schwierigsten Momenten seines Lebens. Das abgetrennte Ohr befestigte er perfekt wieder am Kopf des Soldaten. Das war sein Lebensstil, der von der religiösen Elite komplett in Frage gestellt wurde!
Wenn dich jemand auf die Backe schlägt, dann halte ihm auch die andere Backe hin. Wenn dir jemand den Mantel wegnimmt, dann gib ihm noch das Hemd dazu.

Die Botschaft von Jesus geht alle an. Er trug unsere Strafe, die wir verdient hätten. Der Gerechte bezahlte für unsere Verfehlungen und schaffte so die einzige Möglichkeit zur Versöhnung mit Gott!

There are people who claim that through Jesus they are automatically reconciled with God. What does the Bible say about that?
Romans 3, 10-23 explains that no human is righteous, not even one! So if we are all sinners, we are all separated from God and deserve death and hell. The best deeds never suffice to be reconciled with God.
Who is able to appease God? In John 14:6 it is clearly stated that Jesus is the only way to God.
How do you receive reconciliation? “Repent and believe in the Gospel” this is what Jesus asks of us in Mark 1:15b. Everyone is called to willingly repent and to choose faith in the Gospel.
we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
