Yasmina* fled with her family from North Africa to Europe. It was very difficult as she was suffering under a spiritual burden as negative Quran verses were spoken over her. Her family also suffered under the condition.
A retiree told her about his faith in Jesus and invited her for a service. It took a long time because there was always something else going on. But then it finally worked out. She barely got into the sanctuary and the curse left her forever. She didn’t understand the language of the sermon, however her attitude shifted so drastically that others could sense it. It was a gift of God and Yasmina was more than happy.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Together with the pensioners, she was now reading the Bible to understand more. Her husband started to research the Quran and the Bible. He encountered God in a bright light. With hesitation, he started to believe in Jesus and finally the whole family got baptised. Happy and secure in God, they give all worship to him as he saves seekers from all people and nations. *name changed

Yasmina* flüchtete aus Nordafrika mit ihrer Familie nach Europa. Es war schwierig, denn sie litt Jahre an einer seelischen Belastung, nachdem negative Koranverse über ihr ausgesprochen wurden. Ihre Familie litt ebenfalls unter diesem unaufhörlichen Zustand.
Ein Rentner erzählte von seinem Glauben an Jesus und lud sie zum Gottesdienst ein. Es dauerte lange, denn ständig kam etwas dazwischen. Doch dann klappte es endlich. Kaum betrat sie den Gottesdienstraum, verliess sie dieser Fluch für immer. Sie verstand nichts von der Predigt, doch ihr Umfeld spürte die massive Veränderung, die Gott schenkte und Yasmina war überglücklich.
Gemeinsam mit dem Rentnerehepaar las sie nun die Bibel, um mehr zu verstehen. Ihr Ehemann begann im Koran und in der Bibel zu recherchieren. Gott begegnete ihm in einem hellen Licht. Zögernd begann er an Jesus zu glauben und schliesslich liess sich die ganze Familie taufen. Glücklich und in Jesus geborgen, geben sie heute Gott alle Ehre, weil er aus allen Völkern und Nationen Suchende rettet.

Finally the old, yellowy sheet appeared: “Jesus, today I give you my heart! Thank you for saving me! May 18, 1969, Sabine”
As a teenager, she often looked for this sheet as doubt creeped into her heart. She remembered this contract with God very often: “Yes, it’s valid. The sheet exists and I have signed it!”
Years passed and despite the letter and promises, Sabine’s faithfulness often crumbled. Paper is no guarantee and often ends in the garbage can. The mature woman declares today: “Paper accepts everything, but God’s promises are reliable. Promises no matter how faint, God takes them seriously. He promises in the Bible that he is faithful in our weakness.”
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;).

The “contract” of a child can end up in trash. Nonetheless, Jesus promised to bring anyone who clings to him to the finish line. He is the only strong contract-partner of all time.

Endlich kommt das alte, vergilbte Blatt zum Vorschein: «Jesus, heute gebe ich Dir mein Herz! Danke, dass Du mich errettet hast! 18. Mai 1980, Sabine»
Als Teenager suchte sie den Zettel oft, weil Zweifel ihr Herz aufwühlten. Sie erinnerte sich oft an diesen Vertrag mit Gott: «Ja, es gilt. Es gibt diesen Zettel und ich habe ihn unterschrieben!»
Jahre gingen dahin und trotz Brief und Versprechen schwankte Sabines Treue oft bedenklich. – Papier ist doch keine Garantie und landet schnell im Müll. Die reife Frau bekennt heute: «Papier nimmt alles an, doch Gottes Zusagen sind immer verlässlich. Versprechen mögen noch so zaghaft sein, Gott nimmt sie ernst. Er verspricht in der Bibel, in unserer Schwachheit treu zu bleiben.»
Der «Vertrag» eines Kindes kann im Abfall landen. Trotzdem hat Jesus versprochen, alle ans Ziel zu bringen, die an ihm festhalten. Er ist der alleinige starke Vertragspartner aller Zeiten.

Over the years, everyone is moving a few times. Just for professional reasons, many are looking for an apartment that fits their needs. It’s so common that usually we don’t talk about it.
A friend of mine has been looking for an apartment for quite a while now. In many large cities the housing market is so tight that it is very difficult to find good accommodation at a reasonable price. Can you relate?
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14:2
One day, we won’t have to worry about apartments: once we move home to God. There is an apartment ready for us. Jesus tells us that there are many flats in the house of the Father. He is preparing it for us himself. Who can move there? Everyone who puts his trust in Jesus is invited into God’s house.
