Curious, I open the beautifully decorated envelope and pull out a letter. I am captivated while I read words that speak acceptance, appreciation, and security to my heart – a love letter that changes me from the inside out…
It’s not every day that we receive a letter like that from someone who loves us, but I have a little surprise for you. God has written a love letter for you every single day. He wants to show you this week, and every other week, how much he loves you. God, through his son Jesus, gave everything so that he could have a relationship with you. He wants to show his love for you, for example, in a beautiful sunset, through a good friend or in a verse in the Bible. Open your eyes for his love gestures, they are there.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
Wie schützen wir uns? Schutz und Sicherheit regieren momentan die Weltagenda. Grund ist das Coronavirus, das unser Leben hart trifft. Darum schützen wir uns mit Masken, Abstand, Isolation und Krediten. So wollen wir den Schaden etwas begrenzen.
Sind Masken die Lösung? Ein Wundermittel ist noch nicht in Sicht, das dem Virus den Garaus macht. Weder ein Impfstoff noch eine Maske kann den Lateralschaden der Covid-19 Krise rückgängig machen.
Was taugt unser Immunsystem? Viren gehören zu unserem Alltag und wir müssen Abwehrkräfte entwickeln. Gesunde Ernährung, genügend Bewegung und ein ausgeglichener Lebensstil sind nötig. Wir wissen das, blenden es jedoch oft aus.
Wie innere Stärke entwickeln? Mentale Trainings haben Hochkonjunktur, weil wir Resilienz dringend benötigen. – Reicht selbst produzierte Stärke aus? – Was wäre, wenn wir neue, echte Identität geschenkt bekämen? Genau das bietet Gott in Jesus Christus an!
Warum dieses Angebot nicht testen? Jesus verliess den Himmel, kam zu uns und besiegte das elendeste Virus aller Zeiten: den Vater der Lüge, der das Virus der Sünde verkörpert. Am Kreuz verspottete man Jesus als Verlierer. Sein Tod war der Preis für Ihre und meine Fehler. Das Grab konnte den Schuldlosen nicht halten. Die Auferstehung ist der Beweis für seinen Sieg über das Reich der Finsternis und den Tod für immer! Wer Jesus nachfolgt, hat das ewige Leben.
Wer an den Sohn glaubt, der hat ewiges Leben; wer aber dem Sohn nicht glaubt, der wird das Leben nicht sehen, sondern der Zorn Gottes bleibt auf ihm.
I belong to myself and I want to control my life. By thinking this way, we deny our Creator access to certain areas of our lives. We close our hearts to him, just as we did back then in paradise. We tried to conceal and cover-up what was truly going on; that’s what separates us from God.
Yet, He comes to us with great mercy. He sent his one and only son to earth, who paid for our transgressions by death on the cross. Jesus, through God, now invites everyone: “‘I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.” – John 5:24.
On top of that, he empowers us to admit our guilt and ask for forgiveness when we have done wrong. He also shows us how to offer a hand of forgiveness to those who have hurt us. This is how relationships are healed and conflicts are resolved. Forgiveness is a powerful and beautiful thing. Happy is the one who experiences peace through reconciliation and also spreads it!

Ich gehöre mir und will mein Leben selbst bestimmen. So verweigern wir unserem Schöpfer den Zutritt zu unseren Lebensbereichen. Wir verschliessen ihm unser Herz. Wie damals im Paradies verheimlichen und überdecken wir, was bei uns schief läuft. Das trennt uns von Gott.
Mit grossem Erbarmen kommt er uns entgegen. Er sandte seinen Sohn auf die Erde. Dieser bezahlte unsere Vergehen mit dem Tod am Kreuz. Er lädt jetzt alle ein: Wer mir vertraut und an mich glaubt, kommt nicht mehr ins Gericht, sondern erhält ewiges Leben.
Und noch mehr: Er befähigt uns, unsere Schuld zuzugeben und dem Nächsten die Hand zur Versöhnung zu bieten. So werden Beziehungen bereinigt und Konflikte gelöst. Nicht nur unter vier Augen. Auch Völker und Nationen haben es erlebt. Glücklich ist, wer Frieden durch Versöhnung erfährt und ihn auch verbreitet!
Wo ist bei mir ein Schritt zur Versöhnung dran?
In der Person von Christus hat Gott die Welt mit sich versöhnt. 2. Korinther 5, 19a
Ruhepausen einschalten ist sehr gesund. Gönnen Sie sich eine vitaminreiche Frucht und beginnen Sie die «Verborgenen Schätze» zu entdecken! Verweilen Sie immer wieder mit dem aktuellen Bibelvers. Gottes Wort enthält lebenswichtige Vitamine für Ihre Seele.
