Early in the morning, the winegrower was looking for day laborers. They agreed on a usual wage. Around noon, he again found workers and sent them to work in the vineyard. When he arrived in the afternoon, he saw some standing around idly, so he ordered them to work as well.
When the farmer paid everyone the same wage at the end of the day, those who were harvesting grapes since the early morning started to grumble. “My friend,” replied the winegrower, “you are not wronged! After all, we agreed on this amount.” – Thus the vineyard owner showed himself to be a generous and just gentleman, who who also gave the “last one” his entire wages.
Conclusion: Jesus acted exactly the same way with the repentant criminal who hung next to him on the cross and said: “Remember me when you enter your kingdom!” Whoever sincerely asks Jesus Christ for forgiveness gets peace with the living God.
Der Weinbauer suchte früh morgens Taglöhner für seinen Rebberg. Sie einigten sich auf einen üblichen Lohn. Gegen Mittag fand er nochmals Arbeiter und schickte diese auch in den Weinberg. Als er am Nachmittag auch noch welche untätig herumstehen sah, beauftragte er sie ebenfalls.
Als der Bauer am Feierabend allen den gleichen Lohn ausbezahlte, begannen jene zu murren, welche früh am Morgen Trauben ernteten. «Mein Freund» entgegnete der Weinbauer «dir geschieht kein Unrecht! Wir haben uns doch auf diesen Betrag geeinigt.» – So zeigte sich der Weinbergbesitzer als grosszügigen und gerechten Herrn, welcher auch dem «Letzten» seinen ganzen Anteil gab.
So werden die Letzten einmal die Ersten sein und die Ersten die Letzten.
Matthäus 20,16 aus der Bibel
Fazit: Vergebung ist ein Geschenk, das nicht so verdient werden kann, wie es sich die Tagelöhner vorgestellt haben. Wie lange wir in Gottes Reich (Weinberg) arbeiten hat keinen Einfluss auf den Lohn. Entscheidend ist, dass wir liebevoll, motiviert an der Arbeit bleiben und im Frieden mit Gott und den Menschen leben.
Ein Mann reiste ins Ausland und gab seinen Verwaltern den Auftrag, mit seinem Vermögen zu arbeiten. Entsprechend ihren Fähigkeiten verteilte er das Geld, bevor er verreiste. Nach langer Zeit kam er zurück und forderte sie auf, mit ihm abzurechnen. Alle hatten dazuverdient, nur einer hatte das Geld vergraben und gab es unangetastet wieder zurück. Zornig nahm er dem faulen Verwalter alles Geld weg und gab es dem, der am meisten Gewinn erzielt hatte. Dann fragte er den faulen Verwalter, weshalb er das Geld nicht wenigstens mit Zinsen angelegt habe.
Fazit: Gott beschenkt uns alle mit vielen Fähigkeiten wie z.B. künstlerische Begabung, handwerkliches Geschick, strategisches Denken, klare Kommunikation… Wir sollen unseren Mitmenschen damit liebevoll dienen und so «himmlischen Gewinn» erzielen.
Wer mit Wenigem nachlässig umgeht, dem wird man auch das noch nehmen, was er hat.

A man travelled abroad and ordered his caretakers to work with his wealth. According to their skills he distributed his money before he left. After a long time, he returned and asked each of them to give an account. Each of them had earned more but one had buried the money and returned it as it was. In anger, the man took the money from the lazy caretaker and gave it to the one who made the most money. Then he asked why he didn’t at least earn interest on the funds.
For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
Matthew 25:29
Conclusion: God gives us many talents such as artistic skills, practical talents or strategic thinking, clear communication…. We are to make heavenly “profit” for God’s kingdom and serve others with it in love.

Jesus asked his followers to wait until the power of the Holy Spirit came upon them. They gathered daily in prayer and waited for the event which Jesus had talked about. On Pentecost in the morning around nine o’clock the sound like a wind occurred. Many came curiously to the house in which the disciples met. They saw how tongues of fire were above them and how they preached in different languages. During Pentecost Jews from all over the world came to Jerusalem. Through the Holy Spirit those who gathered spoke in different languages. Many were deeply touched to hear this message in their mother tongue. Others smiled and thought the believers were drunk.
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Act 2:2
Now Peter rose and stated that Jesus whom they had crucified was risen from the dead and that he had promised them that the Holy Spirit would fill them. And that’s exactly what had happened. Then he explained to everyone why the Son of God had come. He lived as a simple man, did great signs and wonders. After his speech, he called the Jews to surrender to Jesus and to be baptised.
This way 3000 people joined the group. Certainly a great moment but likewise a huge multicultural challenge. This way the first Chistians lived in communion and shared weverything. Starting in Jerusalem the good news of Jesus went into the whole world. God’s spirit lives in his followers and gives advice, comfort and certainty of eternal life. We can be certain that Jesus comes again and gathers those who belong to him.
