When it comes to our car, we just give a boost with a cable, however, when it comes to people, the process is time intensive, individual and complex.
Bleeding out the battery often starts by compensating personal weakness with extreme performance. You could compare it with a failed balancing act.
Those who can accept their strengths and weaknesses incur lesser risk. If you root in a healthy relationship with God, you can live off it in difficult times.
Allow God to supply you with His power regularly. This way you gain calm in the midst of stress. The Psalms are a practical treasure trove.

Sind die Ferien gebucht, beginnen wir davon zu träumen. Wie sieht wohl die Ferienwohnung aus, wie fein wird der Sand am Strand sein…
Die Bibel berichtet von einem neuen Himmel und einer neuen Erde. Es ist das Finale von Gottes Geschichte mit uns.
Nach einem Akt der Gerechtigkeit wird es zwei Orte geben: einen Ort der Trennung von Gott (Hölle) und einen Ort der Gemeinschaft mit Gott (Himmel).
Den Himmel stellen wir uns vermutlich oft zu abstrakt vor. Es wird ein perfekter Ort sein, wo wir uns unendlich wohl fühlen werden. Kein körperliches Leiden mehr, keine seelischen Verirrungen, keine Plagen, keine Anstrengung, keine Sorgen, keine Krisen – einfach pure Lebensfreude.
Malen wir uns den Himmel ruhig mit bunten Farben aus. Davon zu träumen, macht uns den Alltag leichter. Aber es wird noch tausendmal schöner sein!

The Bible talks about a new heaven and a new earth. It is the final chapter of God’s story with us.
After an act of justice, there will be two places: one place separate from God (hell) and one place in communion with God (heaven).
Often we think of heaven way too abstract. It will be a perfect place where we feel entirely comfortable. No physical suffering, no spiritual confusion, no plagues, no effort, no worries, no crises – just pure bliss.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Revelation 21:1
Imagine heaven in all facets and colors you can imagine. To dream of it makes our daily life easier. However it will be a lot more beautiful than that!

Wir brauchen Licht, sonst tappen wir im Dunkeln. Wir brauchen es, um uns zu orientieren und sicher nach Hause zu finden. Wir sehnen uns danach, weil es uns wärmt und erfreut.
Abertausende Lichter leuchten in diesen Tagen an Bäumen, in Fensternischen, in Vorgärten und an vielen Fassaden unserer Häuser. Sie erfreuen uns und erhellen die Finsternis.
In dieser dunklen Jahreszeit feiern wir Weihnachten. Ein Lichterfest? Nein, denn wir feiern nicht die Lichter – wir feiern Jesus als das wahre Licht der Welt.
JA, denn jedes einzelne Licht will uns Hinweis sein auf das eine große Licht, das wir in diesen Tagen feiern: Jesus Christus.
Schon der Prophet Jesaja hat darauf hingewiesen: Dem Volk in der Finsternis wird «ein großes Licht» erscheinen. Und er konkretisiert: «Uns ist ein Kind geboren, ein Sohn ist uns gegeben.» Wer mit ihm unterwegs ist, findet den Heimweg.
«Ich bin das Licht für die Welt.
Wer mir nachfolgt, wird nicht mehr in der Dunkelheit umherirren,
sondern folgt dem Licht, das ihn zum Leben führt.»

We need light otherwise we walk in the dark. We need it for orientation and to find our way home safely. We long for it as it warms and makes us happy.
Thousands of lights are glowing on the trees, in windows, in gardens and on the facades of our houses. They give us joy and enlighten the darkness.
During this dark season, we celebrate Christmas. A festival of lights? No, because we do not celebrate the lights – we celebrate Jesus as the true light of the world.
YES because every single light wants to point towards the one big light which we celebrate these days: Jesus Christ.
And ye shall seek me, and find me , when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Isaiah the Prophet told us: The people in darkness will shine a “huge light”. And he continued: “A child is born, a son is given to us.” Those who are on the way with him will find their way home.
