Often it is difficult for us to be friendly and clear at the same time. We either are said to be a “yes-sayer” or a “critic”.
To live truth and love can be challenging. In the end, we are all different. Some are harmony seeking, others are power oriented. Our way to communicate is based on that.
God wants us to talk nicely with each other. At the same time we are to be clear which means that we aren’t trying to avoid the truth just for peace’s sake. It isn’t our personality but God’s essence that is to be visible.
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Colossians 4:6
You need salt to preserve something. Love without truth isn’t sustainable. Love and truth aren’t opposing in the bible. Often, they are mentioned in conjunction with each other.

An Pfingsten feiern die Christen die Ankunft des Heiligen Geistes. Für viele Menschen ein eher unbekanntes Fest. Dabei ist es ein weiterer Höhepunkt in Gottes Geschichte mit uns. Er schuf den Menschen mit der Absicht, eine persönliche Beziehung mit ihm zu pflegen. Im Paradies tauschte er sich mit den Menschen aus. Leider hat die Sünde diese Harmonie zerstört.
Durch das vollkommene Opfer von Jesus ist eine liebevolle Beziehung zu Gott wieder möglich. Wer das Geschenk der Vergebung von Jesus annimmt und seine Sünden bereut, wird mit dem Heiligen Geist beschenkt. Er kommt in unser Leben. Durch ihn begreifen wir Gott und werden geführt. Er schaltet die Verbindung zu Gott frei.
Was für Veränderungen bewirkte der Heilige Geist in den Jüngern von Jesus! Er machte sie zu unerschrockenen Zeugen des Evangeliums. Endlich war Gott mit seinem Plan einen gewaltigen Schritt weiter. Ein neues Volk von Gläubigen, die Kirche wurde geboren. Sie lebt nicht von Gebäuden, Gesetzen oder Steuern. Sie ist keine Organisation, sondern ein Organismus.
Ich lebe, aber nicht ich lebe,
sondern Christus lebt in mir.

At Pentecost, Christians celebrate the arrival of the Holy Spirit. For many this celebration is unknown even though it is a highlight in God’s story with us. He created men to have a personal relationship with him. In paradise he had relationships with men. Unfortunately, sin destroyed this harmony.
Through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus a loving relationship with God is possible. Those who accept the gift of forgiveness offered by Jesus and regret their sins will be given the Holy Spirit. He comes into our life. Through him we grasp God and are led by him. He frees up the connection to God.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
What change did the Holy Spirit provoke in Jesus’ disciples! He made them fearless witnesses of the Gospel. Finally God was a big step ahead with his plan. A new people of believers was born – the church. It doesn’t live in buildings, rules or taxes. It isn’t an organisation it is an organism.

I leisurely got off the train. The sun greeted me and I was looking forward to my workday. Oh no, I forgot my smartphone on the train! It would be unthinkable if all my personal data, appointments, contacts and pictures would be lost! I did everything to get it back. It was so wonderful that I could claim it at the lost and found!
Jesus encourages us to look for God eagerly. The kingdom of God is compared to a treasure and an expensive pearl for which it is worth it to let go of everything else. A personal relationship with God is not just given to us – do you want it?
What does it mean to you to be on good terms with God, to be accepted by him and to trust his lead? What would happen if this relationship would be taken from you? How would you react?
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Try and see what is more important to you: smartphone, credit card and keys – or a clear conscience before God?

Gemütlich stieg ich aus dem Zug. Die Sonne begrüsste mich und ich freute mich, meine tägliche Arbeit aufzunehmen. Doch – oh Schreck – ich hatte mein Smartphone im Zug liegen lassen! Nicht auszudenken, wenn alle meine persönlichen Daten, Termine, Kontakte, Fotos… weg wären! Ich setzte alles in Bewegung, um es wieder zu bekommen. Wie gut, als ich es im Fundbüro abholen konnte!
Jesus selber ermutigt uns, mit Eifer Gott zu suchen. Das Reich Gottes wird mit einem Schatz und einer teuren Perle verglichen, für die es sich lohnt, alles andere aufzugeben. Ein persönliches Verhältnis zu Gott fällt uns nicht einfach zu – möchten Sie das?
Was bedeutet es Ihnen, mit Gott ins Reine zu kommen, von ihm angenommen zu sein, sich seiner Führung anvertrauen zu können? Angenommen, diese Beziehung würde Ihnen geraubt, wie würden Sie reagieren?
Testen Sie selbst, was Ihnen mehr bedeutet: Smartphone, Kreditkarten und Schlüsselbund – oder ein reines Gewissen vor Gott?
Bittet Gott, und er wird euch geben!
Sucht, und ihr werdet finden!
Klopft an, und euch wird die Tür geöffnet!
